Thefts and mischief
Monday, Jan. 25n 2 p.m., 2100 block of Birch Avenue; a resident complained about two boats and a trailer parked in violation of a city ordinance.
n 6:22 p.m., 1000 block of Greenwood Avenue; someone reported hearing a smoke alarm and seeing smoke coming out of a home. Fire department units and an ambulance were dispatched.
n 12:14 p.m., 900 block of Doyle; two RPD officers were called upon to counsel a driver about driving too fast.
Tuesday, Jan. 26n 11:50 a.m., an OSP trooper arrested a 45-year-old Myrtle Creek man and charged him with DUII. RPD officers booked him into the Reedsport city jail and lodged him until he could be arraigned in justice court.
n 12:19 p.m., 1900 block of Highway Avenue; someone reported a violation of a restraining order.
n 4:29 p.m., Jeffrey Alan Lewin, 49, of Reedsport, was arrested and transported to Roseburg for an alleged probation violation.
n 9:30 p.m., 1000 block of North Eighth Street; someone complained about a loud party taking place at two homes in the area. Officers responded and advised the partyers to keep the noise down.
Wednesday, Jan. 27n 8:22 a.m., 1100 block of Ivy Avenue; someone reported that a woman was being threatened by a man over the telephone. An officer counseled the pair about the consequences of their actions.
n 11:00 a.m., 1500 High-way Avenue; a resident reported finding a dog running loose in the area. The pooch was apprehended and lodged at the city’s animal shelter.
Thursday, Jan. 28n 1:15 a.m., 1000 block of North Eighth Street; an officer was notified that a lending company was repossessing a vehicle.
n 5:49 a.m., 3000 block of Frontage Road; a house fire was reported. Units from three volunteer fire departments responded.
n 10:35 a.m., 600 block of South 20th Street; a resident reported a dog was trying to get inside the house. The dog was lodged at the city’s animal shelter.
n 10:51 a.m., Jason Boy Rutherford, 30, of Langlois, was arrested by OSP on a Reedsport Municipal Court warrant for failure to pay fines after being convicted of possession of less than one ounce of marijuana, no driver’s license and no insurance.
n 9:00 p.m., James Darrin Sharp, 44, turned himself in at the RPD office on a Reedsport Municipal Court warrant for failure to pay fines. He was lodged at the city jail, awaiting a court appearance.
Friday, Jan. 29n 8:01 a.m., 2700 block of Frontage Road; two RPD officers responded when a resident reported there was a problem there.
n 10:59 a.m., 700 block of Mill Avenue; someone reported that a vehicle has been entered during the night.
Saturday, Jan. 30n 1:07 a.m. Highway 101 near milepost 210; a 30-year-old Mapleton man was arrested and jailed on charges of possessing marijuana and hashish.
n 11:50 a.m., 500 block of Broadway, Winchester Bay; Joseph Raymond Cullison was arrested on a warrant for second-degree failure to appear. He was booked then posted bail.
n 8:39 p.m., 2000 block of Winchester Avenue; Aaron J. Lawrence, 25, was arrested on a Washington County arrest warrant.
n 9:32 p.m., 1000 block of North Eighth Street; a distrubance was reported. Officers responded and all parties were contacted and separated for the night.
n 11:31 p.m., 2600 block of Longwood Drive; a 28-year-old Coquille man was arrested and jailed on charges of driving with a suspended license and possession of heroin.
Sunday, Jan. 31n 5:27 p.m., 400 block of Plateau Street, Gardiner; DCSO officer picked up a dog. The dog was impounded at a city animal shelter.
n 9:39 a.m., 2300 block of High Street, officers took a report after someone said items were missing from the residence.
